Saturday, March 3rd, 2007Roomba by iRobot is a robotic vaccum cleaner that operates all by itself. All you do is set up perimeter cones and let it go vaccum in the defined area. These robots are popular with hackers. Here are some posts about Roomba hacks. The first article talks about how the owner of a roomba made it controllable from his Nintendo system. Roomba Frogger talks about some people from Make magazine in Austin Texas and how they actually played Frogger with Roomba’s in the street, dodging real cars. Pretty cool. Roomba Cockfighting has some neat videos. Irobot has also recently introduced 3 new models. One is called Scooba for mopping your floors and the second one is called Dirt Dog for those tougher jobs in your workshop. The third model is the iRobot Create, specifically for hackers.
