Weekly Robot Roundup
Friday, May 18th, 2007 Wow, what a week for robotics. First we had the VIPeR by Elbit Systems. Then we saw the LandShark unveiled, complete with a video. Then 4 new inductees into the Robot Hall of Fame were announced at the Robo Business Conference. The inductees are the Raibert Hopper, Data from Star Trek, NavLab 5 and Lego Mindstorms. And now iRobot has announced the iRobot Create Challenge. From now until August 31, 2007, you can enter the contest to win $5,000. iRobot has partnered with Tom’s Hardware and Instructibles to bring you this contest. See all the rules here. Basically, make the coolest new robot using iRobot’s Create as a platform, then upload your story and photos to Instructibles and hopefully win. Better get creating folks!
