i-Limb

The i-LIMB has helped many people, including veteran Juan Arredondo, who lost his arm in Iraq. This amazing device allows him and others to do thinks most people take for granted like picking up luggage or driving a car. Juan’s son says he is ” half robot, half man”.

The device is created by Touch Bionics in Edinburgh Scotland and can cost anywhere from $60,000 to $150,000.

i-Walk
Another prosthetic device is the PowerFoot One by iWalk. A collaboration between MIT and Brown university is bringing this product to market. This prosthetic foot supposedly will produce a “truly humanlike gait”. This should be available next summer.

No word if adding these 2 devices could make you take Steve Austin in a fight.
