Swarming Orb Robots

Rolling robot orbs that dance are being created by Michael Prados and his team for the upcoming Burning Man festival. These rolling robots will use Zigbee and GPS tracking to communicate with each other and create a dance in the desert. These rolling bots move by using a large battery that swings like a pendulum. This battery is placed inside the sphere.
Also noted is that the 30 inch wide orbs will light up at night and a magic wand like device is being created to allow participants to direct the swarm.
Does this remind anyone else of an old episode of The Prisoner where he tried to swim away, but was buffeted by large floating balls on the water? This whole project sounds very cool, but slightly creepy at the same time.
