Robot Living

Autonomous boats will take part in a race called Microtransat at the University of Wales in Aberystwyth in early September. These boats are self sufficent, using solar power and GPS for navigation. A pre programmed route is input into the boats computer.

All we need now is a gun mounted on the bow and we will have a robotic navy to command.

Next year they hope to do a 4,000 mile journey from Brtitan to the Caribbean. Pictured here is the Aberystywyth Team from 2006.
