SmartPal V Invades Homes, Stays to Make Friends

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

SmartPal VThe Yaskawa Electric Corporation in Japan has unveiled it’s latest robot, the SmartPal V.

SmartPal V weighs 280 pounds and is fifty-two inches tall. It also has four cameras and can move at up to 3.6 kilometers per hour. SmartPal V also has a wireless device that allows it to communicate with other SmartPals.

This friendly bot also sports speech recognition to answer you important questions.

We think this household bot looks like a giant Wii control or maybe an elongated iPod shuffle minus the scroll wheel.
