A giant ant robot named BILL-Ant (Biologically Inspired Legged Locomotion Ant) has overtaken a lab at Case Western University and is holding it’s maker hostage in it’s giant mandible.

Only kidding folks. This cool robot was designed by William Lewinger at Case Western University. The robot can lift itself up and carry an additional 7 pounds while walking.

Someday they hope to make the ant independently navigate terrain and be able to carry objects in teams. Look out, the ant army is coming!
