Robot Commanded With Laser

Unveiled this week at a conference in Amsterdam is the EL-E robot from Hai Nguyen and a team at Georgia Tech.
To operate the robot, simply point a laser at an object for a few seconds. The robot will then walk over and pick up the object. To make the robot come back with the object, simply point the laser at it’s feet.
This could be helpful to people who are not able to get around and this Summer testing will begin with people who have Lou Gehrig’s disease. Check out some of Hai’s other robots on his school web page here.
