Using the ALERT (Active Learning Environment with Robotic Tangibles) system, a group of four people have created this unique iRobot Roomba.
The team consists of Byron Lahey, Natalie Freed, Alex Kim and Camilla Jensen. The four have created a robot that recognizes different tiles place on the ground. The basic idea was to create a robot that could be used to teach others basic programming ideas.
The group hacked Roomba’s Java platform and used a symbol recognition system called Reactivision.
