Flaming Robot Walks Like A Human

Folks over at the Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands have been studying how to make robots walk. See our previous post about their robot Denise here.
They have now created the coolest looking robot in recent memory shown here called Flame. Kind of makes us think of Johnny Storm from the Fantastic Four, but only if he were bionic.
Flame weighs approximately 15 kg and is about 1.3 m tall. so far, he has the most human like gait of any of their robots. This is achieved by basically making the robot fall forward in a very controlled fashion.
