B21 Another Kitchen Robot
Published July 17th, 2008 in Robot News, Science
This new robot is being developed at the Technical University of Munich in it’s Assistive Kitchen. What sets this robot apart from other kitchen robots like the robotic chef is the use of RFID tags.
The RFID or radio frequency identification tags are put on items like utensils in the kitchen so the robot can identify them.
The researchers are also hoping to let the robot get instructions from websites such as eHow.com and convert this information into something the robot can understand through use of software called WordNet.
