Japanese researchers at the University of Tokyo have created a so called “e-skin” to enable robots to feel more.

The rubber sheet is filled with carbon nanotubes that allow electricity to be applied to it.  The rubber sheet is completely bendable and can be mounted on curved surfaces.

The “e-skin” could be used to make integrated circuits that can be stretched up to 1.7 times its original length.  Seems to have one up on Frubber, that life like skin from Hanson Robotics, on making more touchy, feely robots.
