Wired For War is a new book by P.W. Singer, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.
As the battle for the latest in robotic technology heats up, this book takes a good look at war, robots and the big conflict. It looks at how the war in Iraq has gone for 0 to 12,00 unmanned ground systems in just 5 years.
On one side this makes us think of the Dr Suess book, The Butter Battle Book. In this book 2 warring sides keep developing better and better weapons until both have a weapon the size of an egg that could completely destroy there opponent.
On the other hand of course we think of movies like The Terminator and the rise of the robots.
Check out an interview with P.W. Singer from NPR where he talks about drones, Iraq and homeland security.
