ViRob The Autonomous Microbot
By Chief Robot. Filed in Robot News |Tags: israel, medical, microbot
Someday soon doctors will operate and cure you with tiny microbots or even nanobots.
To bring that one step closer to reality, we give you the ViRob from Technion, The Israel Institute of Technology.
The ViRob PDF brochure states:
The robot hereby presented has the ability to crawl within cavities with similar characteristics as the typical human body’s veins and arteries. The miniaturization achievement is unprecedented, as is the ability to control the robot’s activity for an unlimited period of time, for any medical procedure.
The tiny robot will be presented at an upcoming National Life Science & Technology Week in Tel-Aviv in June.
Watch the scary video after the break if you dare and imagine this thing crawling around inside you.
