Perfect Woman Perfect Hoax

Wednesday, July 23rd, 2008

Sorry to bust your hopes of a date with a female robot, but we are not surprised.  The Perfect Woman robot we reported on back in May is a hoax.

Our first tip off was that signing up for the pre order email list accomplished nothing, not even a confirmation email.  The second tip off is that she was due to actually be ready on June 11 and has not appeared yet.

If you click on this link perfect-woman.com, then check off your preferences and wait, the robot appears dancing.

After dancing with a pole, you see her start to smoke and fall to the floor and then the picture above appears.  If  you click were it says cliquer ici, the picture below appears.
Nivea Ad

Sad to say, but we think this was all a hoax for Nivea Men.

What say you dear reader?  Was this a hoax or  a website glitch or just vaporware that may show up someday?

Robot Scales Grand Canyon

Monday, May 26th, 2008

Evolta RobotOn Saturday, May 24, the 17 centimeter tall Evolta robot scaled a Grand Canyon Cliff.

This was a publicity stunt to prove the Evolta batteries by Panasonic truly are the world’s longest lasting batteries.

Using 2 AA batteries, the robot scaled a 530 meter rope in only 6 hours and 45 minutes. No extra points for being speedy.

Update- video from Reuters here (sound is lousy).
