Robo Dog

Larry from London has created the amazing Robo Dog.

Built by hand and created entirely from recycled parts this robot is certainly not street legal. It sports two hind wheels and two front walking legs.

This flame throwing beast is made from  Citroën parts, part of an airplane’s radar detector, lots of metal and coffee filters among other things.

Inventor Creates Wife, A Real Hotbot

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

Canadian inventor Le Trung has created the robot Aiko.  Is this the real Perfect Woman? Only Le will know for sure, but let’s take a look at Aiko.

She can always remember faces, birthdays, plays Xbox games and can be set to mute. She also reacts to touch and can speak over 13,000 sentences.

Aiko was designed to be in her 20’s and has a 32-23-33 figure.  She was not designed for use in the bedroom, but Le says he could “tweak” her for more romantic uses.

Le hopes to one day make copies of Aiko for sale, but that is probably a long way off.

Robot That Rolls And Jumps

Tuesday, December 9th, 2008

Jolbot is a robot that rolls and jumps.  Jolbot was created by University of Bath PhD student Rhodri Armour.

The general idea is that the robot uses it’s spherical cage to roll along even ground.  If it encounters an obstacle it can use an internal spring jump over it.

One potential use for Jolbot is space exploration.  The robot is very light, weighing less than a kilogramme.
