Moon Robot Deploys House

picture-22Students from Malardalens University in Sweden hope to send a robot to the moon.

The robot named Roony is being designed to deploy a tiny house on the moon.  The students are collaborating with artist Mikael Genberg, who is known for alternative living environments.

The main idea of the project is for the robot to drop a small barn red house with white trim on the moon by 2012.
