CareBot By GeckoSystems

A recent press release states that by 2015 consumers will be willing to spend as much as a new car for a multi-tasking humanoid robot.
This is based on a report from ABI Research and GeckoSystems thinks their multi-tasking personal robot called CareBot fits the bill.
The robot would allow virtual visits with elderly relatives and save money from not placing them in a nursing home. The CareBot can also be programmed to dial 911 or any number you designate in an emergency. How it knows what an emergency is I don’t know. I’m also sure this would probably scare the heck out of my grandmother.
Would you buy a CareBot for your elderly relatives?
Watch the robot navigate a party after the break.
