Teledyne Awarded Navy Contract

Teledyne Webb Research recently beat out iRobot and others to win a contract for its Slocum glider.

The contract is worth $52 million through the year 2014.

The Slocum glider is driven by variable buoyancy system and can autonomously operate for weeks at a time while collecting data.
