Asimo Rules Rock Paper Scissors
Thanks to some fancy new software, Asimo can now distinguish between 3 voices all talking at the same time.
The software, courtesy of Kyoto University and called HARK, uses 8 microphones to accomplish this masterful feat.
Once a voice is extracted it goes through a quality control step before being decoded by the speech recognition software.
Since the game Rock, Paper , Scissors uses a small vocabulary, it is perfect for testing the new software. Does that mean Asimo is now a game show host?
See our previous post where Asimo served coffee and chocolate to Beth Neil at the Mirror.
