Expressive Robot

From the Wroclaw University of Technology in Poland comes EMYS (EMotive headY System),  a robot similar to, but not as advanced as Nexi or some of the other emtional robots from MIT. EMYS has 9 emotional states, including sadness, disgust, surprise, among others.

EMYS has a neck with 3 DOF, 3 discs each with 1 DOF, 2 eyeballs with 4 DOF and 2 eyelids with 2 DOF.

EMYS started out as a project to investigate robotic vision, but turned into an emotional robot.
