Robots to The Rescue

Police in the East Bridgewater Massachusetts area discovered a cache of pipe bombs in a man’s garage from a tipster.

Using a bomb disposal robot like this one, the police detonated the bombs, rocking a neighborhood with over 30 explosions and causing windows to rattle.

Why the man had the pipe bombs had not yet been determined, but it sounds like he needs a new hobby.

The Boston Globe article talks about the suspects lawyer John Creedon and states:

Creedon described the explosives as a hobby for the 41-year-old landscaper who “is interested in chemistry and has been building various types of pipe bombs since his high school years.”
