MSN China has unleashed what they are calling the world’s first virtual robot named Xiao Mei. This virtual robot is in customer service and will answer all customers questions about MSN.

Xiao Mei was developed by a research team at MSN China and is supposedly highly intelligent.

We are not sure of what they mean by first, as this certainly reminds us of Anna from Ikea. If your conversation with Xiao Mei is anything like the one we had with Anna, it is not at all highly intelligent.

In our view, this is just another way for big companies to save money by not hiring more customer service employees.
