Terminator
In case you haven’t seen enough Terminator Salvation hype yet, Yahoo Finance states that the Terminator will ring the opening bell of the stock market today (5/19/09). You will be able to see a photo of the event later here or after the break.
I guess this is somehow symbolic of the demise of the stock market crash recently and our current financial crisis.
The movie Terminator Salvation opens this Thursday.

Sleep Dealer
We just saw the amazing new movie called Sleep Dealer by Alex Rivera.
This move has it all including drones, robotic humans, humans controlling robots, troubled remote fighter pilots flying the drones and selling your dreams. The story sort of reminds us of Spider Robinson’s 1982 novel Mindkiller, in the fact that characters jack in via a node on their body.
Sleep Dealer is a well crafted movie that deals with several issues, including migrant workers that do not physically need to be were they are working thanks to the internet and robots.
The movie has won several awards, including a Sundance award.
